Terms of use
Last updated: October 29, 2026. The Spanish version is the original; this is a translation.
These terms govern the use of the Clase Offline app, developed by Alfredo Augusto Sánchez (Tunuyán, Mendoza, Argentina). By using the app, you accept these terms and the Privacy policy.
1. What Clase Offline is
A tool for teachers and students to work in class without internet: classes, assignments, submissions, grades, chat and review games, connecting phones to each other. Some optional features use the internet: Google Classroom, Google Drive backup, internet chat, AI-generated questions and transferring grades to the GEI.
Clase Offline is independent. It is not an official app of the Mendoza School Board, the Government of Mendoza or Google, and it is not affiliated with them.
2. Acceptable use
- The app is for educational use. Teachers are responsible for the classes they create, the assignments they publish and the people they accept.
- It may not be used to harass, discriminate, share illegal content or content inappropriate for minors, or impersonate others.
- Do not attempt to break the security of the app, other classes or the services it uses.
- When connecting with third-party services (Google Classroom, Google Drive or the GEI), their terms and the school's rules also apply.
3. Free and paid features
Teaching features are free. AI credits and the monthly GEI transfer subscription are paid and optional. Both are sold only through Google Play, with its payment methods, terms and refund policies. Prices are shown before purchase. The subscription renews monthly until it is canceled in Google Play. AI credits have no cash value, are not transferable and are used up when generating questions. A question bank generated with AI can be reused for new games for 12 months.
4. AI-generated content
AI-generated questions may contain errors. Teachers must review them before publishing and are responsible for the material used to generate them: they must have the right to use it and should not include students' personal data.
5. Transferring grades to the GEI
This feature helps fill in the GEI grade sheet with the grades from Clase Offline. Teachers sign in with their own account, review what the app filled in, and save it themselves. The app never saves anything in the GEI on its own. If the GEI changes its website, the assisted transfer may stop working until the app is updated.
6. Your data and your content
Content created by teachers and students belongs to them. The app only uses it to work, as explained in the Privacy policy. Since data is mostly stored on phones, we recommend turning on the Google Drive backup.
7. Availability and warranties
The app is provided "as is". We do our best for it to work well, but the connection between phones depends on each model, its system and the environment, and may fail. Internet features depend on third-party services that may change or be interrupted. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for data loss or indirect damages arising from the use of the app. Nothing here limits the rights granted to consumers under Argentine Law 24,240.
8. Changes
We may update the app and these terms. The current version is always at this address, with its date. Important changes are announced in the app.
9. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. Questions: yayoar@gmail.com.
